They analyzed the supply of imported sturgeon caviar to the Russian Federation from third countries and EAEU countries

According to data from the FGBI "ARRIAH," 4,679.8 kg of sturgeon caviar were imported into Russia between January 1, 2023, and June 25, 2023. The majority of the caviar came from China, followed by smaller amounts from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Armenia, and Moldova. Shortcomings in the repacking process were identified in Moscow, Moscow, Tver, and Leningrad regions, and investigations are ongoing. Measures have been taken against entities that violated CITES norms, and efforts to address this issue are ongoing.
