The National Livestock Owners Association (NALOA) and the Department of Livestock Services have concluded a nationwide farmer sensitisation to discuss small ruminant management and inspect community pastures. NALOA's president, Ebrima O. Jallow, highlighted the importance of a micro-finance component in the project, which he believes empowers livestock owners and reduces costs associated with small ruminant importation. He commended the government for the project, which is addressing farmers' financial access issues, and praised the project management for its dedication and commitment. The project is funding various initiatives, including the construction of boreholes, sheep fattening sheds, and dairy farms, across the country.
