From January to November 2020, Turkey exported 5,320 tonnes of honey to 49 countries, generating a revenue of 23.48 million dollars. Germany was the top buyer, accounting for 45% of total exports with a profit of 8.40 million dollars. Other significant buyers included the USA and Saudi Arabia. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, honey exports have contributed positively to the economy by meeting the increased demand for natural and supplementary foods. New markets such as Poland, Indonesia, and the Philippines were also explored.
