ÇKS warning to farmers from Giresun Chamber of Agriculture in Turkey

Giresun Chamber of Agriculture President Nurittin Karan warned farmers to update their Farmer Registration System (ÇKS). Noting that the farmers who do not update their farmer member records will become passive and cannot benefit from supports such as field-based income support, diesel and fertilizer in hazelnuts, Giresun Chamber of Agriculture President Karan reminded that the deadline for applications is 31 December. Karan said in his statement, "The 2023 production year ÇKS applications have started, it will end on 31 December 2022. Your membership to the Chamber of Agriculture must be active in order to receive support. Applications are received via e-government according to the newly published ÇKS regulation. During the application, the option "I am a registered member of the Chamber of Agriculture" is marked. If the farmer does not apply to the chamber he belongs to and does not declare that he continues farming and does not update his information, he will become passive. ...
