A recent survey by the Agricultural Economics Institute in São Paulo revealed a decrease in the price of beef per kg for consumers in the city, averaging R$42.06 in September, marking a 3.1% drop from the previous month and a 3.5% increase from the same period last year. Despite the monthly decrease, the cumulative price from January to September showed an 11% increase compared to the same period in the previous year. However, the price of live cattle ready for slaughter has not followed the same trend, increasing by only 4.6% over the same period.
