In 2023, global wine production will be the lowest in 60 years

Global wine production this year will be the lowest since 1961. Such forecasts were announced by the International Organization of Viticulture and Winemaking (OIV). Specific figures and estimates for the main manufacturers were presented at a web conference at the OIV headquarters in Dijon by the head of the department of statistics and digital transformation of the organization, Giorgio Delgrosso. According to information collected from 29 countries, representing 94 percent of global volumes of the drink, the average figure will be 244.1 million tons, or seven percent lower than last year.
