According to Rosstat, in February 2026, milk processing enterprises in Russia produced almost 65.2 thousand tons of cheese—1.1% more than in the same month last year. The Central Federal District ranked first in this indicator with 34.1 thousand tons. In second place was the Volga Federal District with 16.0 thousand tons, which is 26.7% more than a year earlier. The Siberian District was in third position with 5.6 thousand tons. The Volga region's products accounted for 24.6% of the total volume in the country.
