In Bashkortostan, cheese production increased by more than 40% in February.

In February, cheese production in the Republic of Bashkortostan increased by 40.4% compared to the same period in 2025. The main producer in the region is the Belebey Dairy Plant. In May 2025, a new workshop for the production of soft cheeses with a capacity of up to 3,000 tons of products per year was opened here. Previously, such a product was not produced in the republic. Over the past five years, 83.5 thousand tons of cheese have been produced in Bashkiria. From 2021 to 2025, its production increased by 25.4%, and by 27.9% in the last year. In February of this year, the region also saw an increase in sour cream production by 18.5% to 1.2 thousand tons, cottage cheese by 1.7% to 0.9 thousand tons.
