In the ‘Youth Farmer Management Training Leased Farm’ operated by Jindo County (County Head Kim Hee-soo), the first strawberries of the year were produced, marking the beginning of a full-scale harvest. Jindo County invested a total of 1.8 billion won to create two smart farms that automatically manage temperature and cultivation environment and prevent diseases and pests to help young and new farmers settle into stable farming. The farms selected two young farmers as tenants in May and are currently operating. The tenant farms planted 11,000 'Seolhyang strawberries' per farm in September and began harvesting in November, and have been producing steadily since then.
