American giant Valmont Industries plans to launch production of the world-renowned Valley irrigation systems in Kazakhstan. This was agreed upon by the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aidarbek Saparbayev and the company's Vice President Philipp Schmidt-Holzmann. The Kazakh partner in the project will be JSC "Imstal'kon." The $17 million project will enable the production of 300 to 500 sprinkler machines annually. The plant is planned to be located in one of the regions where "Imstal'kon" already has facilities: Karaganda, Pavlodar, Turkestan, Almaty, or East Kazakhstan regions. According to the minister, this decision will help fulfill the President's task of annually implementing water-saving technologies on 150 thousand hectares, making the country's agriculture more resilient to droughts.
