The National Service for Quality and Animal Health (Senacsa) of Argentina has announced the commencement of the first vaccination period against foot-and-mouth disease and bovine brucellosis for the entire nation, with vaccinations set to begin on January 23, 2023. The foot-and-mouth disease vaccination campaign is for cattle and buffalo cattle, while the bovine brucellosis vaccination will be focused on young female cats aged between 3 to 8 months. The vaccination period for both diseases ends on March 3, 2023, with registration available until March 17, 2023. This initiative aims to ensure the quality and safety of the cattle herd and is part of the commitment to maintain the progress of the national livestock industry. The vaccination campaigns were delayed in 2022 due to fires, but last year saw a new record of 1,018,000 vaccinated calves against bovine brucellosis.
