The Paraguayan Association of Nelore Breeders (APCN) presented, this Thursday, highly distinguished results from its bull evaluation program. One of the most outstanding aspects was the marked precocity of the Nelore breed, reflected in the start of semen collections from 12 months of age. In just 140 days, the program managed to collect 890 frozen straws from bulls, with a projection of up to 500 straws per animal by the time they reach 19 to 22 months, which confirms the high reproductive potential achieved. The activity took place at the Taurus Genetic Center, located in the city of Ypacaraí.
