Nelore: In 140 days, they achieve almost 900 pajuelas in bulls under 14 months

The program began with 55 Pure Controlled Nelore animals, of which 45 bulls advanced to the final stage, following a rigorous selection process based on productive indicators, demonstrating significant advances in the genetic improvement of beef cattle in Paraguay. Among the criteria evaluated were weight gain (50%), scrotal circumference (20%), eye muscle area (15%), and fat thickness (15%), generating objective and high-value information for producers. In preparation for their presentation at the fair, scheduled for June of this year, at the genetic center premises, the breeders aim for an average weight of 600 kilograms, with ages ranging between 19 and 21 months. These results consolidate efficient, functional, and fully adapted animals to real production conditions.
