The Southeastern Anatolia Dried Fruits and Products Exporters' Association is planning to boost its global market activities in the remaining eight months of 2023, with a focus on increasing its market share in the EU, USA, Africa, and Middle East. Despite a slight increase in dried fruit exports in 2022, the sector was impacted by a significant earthquake. The association's exports increased by 2.1% to $331 million, accounting for 21.3% of Turkey's dried fruit exports. The EU, America, and Middle East were the primary markets for these exports. The association aims to enhance its competitiveness and reach sustainable export goals through a UR-GE program called 'Southeast Anatolian Dried Fruits and Nuts Cluster', and by providing high-value added training in production and marketing of products like pistachio, apricot, and other dried fruits.
