In two weeks, foreign exchange revenue from fresh chicken meat already reaches 60% of the total earned in Brazil, a year ago

Even if they will suffer some dilution over the period, the initial figures from SECEX/ME on exports of fresh chicken meat for the current November are auspicious. In the first eight days of the month, 161,733 tons of the product were shipped, a volume resulting from average shipments of approximately 20,217 tons per day, the second best result in the entire history of exports. With this result, only 40% of the month has passed (eight of a total of 20 working days in November), the volume exported represents almost 53% of the little more than 305 thousand tons of a year ago. The average price, unfortunately, continues in retraction. After having reached a historic record (US$2,223.31/ton) last July, it has registered consecutive declines since then.
