In the third quarter of the year, breeding and complete cycle systems experienced the most significant reductions in total production costs, with breeding seeing a 2.09% decrease to BRL 181.52/@ and complete cycle experiencing a 3.46% decrease to BRL 154.67/@. Despite a drop in corn prices, concentrate costs fell by 1.60% due to lower corn prices. However, supplementation costs continued to rise, largely due to a 2.64% increase in mineral salt costs. The rearing-fattening system had the least increase in total production costs, rising by 0.12% to an average of R$ 265.50/@.
