From January to July 2021, Ukraine experienced a significant shift in its sugar trade dynamics. Exports dropped dramatically to 2,217 tons, valued at $1,252 thousand, a decrease from 67,100 tons in the same period last year. The largest markets for these exports were Israel (41.37%), Germany (29.23%), and Moldova (15.50%). On the other hand, imports surged to 143,202 tons, predominantly from Brazil (69.69%), Poland (19.61%), and Belgium (3.13%). Additionally, the report covered the trade of other sugars and molasses, with exports and imports reaching 29,904 tons and 2624 tons respectively, mainly to and from Israel.
