Global flour trading is projected to rise to 15.1 million tons in the third quarter of the 2020/2021 marketing year, a 5.5% increase, due to the resumption of supplies to Asian countries such as Uzbekistan, Iraq, and Afghanistan. The largest importers will be Afghanistan and Iraq, with 2.5 million tons and 2 million tons respectively. The EU, UK, and Tajikistan are expected to see a significant increase in imports, while there will be a decrease in imports for Brazil, North Korea, the Philippines, and Somalia.
