The city, which has registered geographical indication for its flavor, sees both domestic and international demand. The Olive Producers Union is providing training to producers on cold pressing to ensure quality, and the city is currently exporting to Qatar, the USA, and Canada. This year, the harvest is expected to increase in quality and yield, leading to higher prices.
