South Korea: Italian ryegrass and rice double-crop; which rice variety to choose?

Recently, double cropping, which involves cultivating forage crops such as Italian ryegrass (IRG), rye, and oats in paddy fields, followed by rice, is increasing mainly in livestock farms. In particular, Italian ryegrass has high productivity and feed value and is preferred by livestock farmers because it is liked by livestock. It is also strong against moisture, so it is the most cultivated forage crop in paddy fields. The Rural Development Administration recommended the mid-season and the mid-late crop as suitable rice varieties for double-cropping Italian ryegrass-rice.
