The Content greenhouse project in Williamsfield, Manchester, has revitalized former bauxite lands for agricultural production, leading to increased earnings for 43 farmers. The project, which started in 2017, has yielded 100,000 pounds of crops, generating approximately $16 million. The farm produces a variety of crops and supplies small ruminants to hotels, supermarkets, and other markets. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic causing a production slowdown, the project is poised to capitalize on future opportunities. Farmers have received superior farming training and established partnerships with buyers and value-added producers, contributing to the project's success and revitalizing the Williamsfield community.
