Japan will help Kharkiv Oblast farmers in Ukraine with sunflower and corn seeds and allocates 170 million dollars for emergency recovery projects

The Government of Japan and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) will provide the farmers of Kharkiv region with sunflower and corn seeds as part of spring sowing. On March 9, this project was presented at a meeting with the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solskyi. The event was also attended by representatives of the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine and the Office of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). The Japanese government purchased seeds worth more than $1 million.
