The Jeju Provincial Agricultural Research and Extension Services in South Korea is set to invest 1.68 billion won to expand its project on developing winter vegetable varieties suitable for the region's climate. The project aims to enhance the competitiveness of local crops by selecting and expanding the use of Jeju varieties of winter vegetables, with a focus on broccoli and beets. The services currently cultivate and distribute nine varieties of four vegetables. The goal is to improve the competitiveness of winter vegetables in Jeju by developing Jeju varieties that can adapt to climate and market changes.
