Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand, Jurin Laksanawisit, has overseen a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing between Thai cassava associations and the Philippines Feed Producers Association (PAFMI) to buy 2 million tons of tapioca chips annually. This deal aims to stabilize the price of cassava products. The government also has a Farmer Income Insurance Policy to protect farmers, and Nakhon Ratchasima is planning to promote the Thai cassava market globally. Last year, Thailand's cassava product exports were valued at 120 billion baht.
