In 2024, the North Caucasus Interregional Administration of Rosselkhoznadzor reported a notable increase in the export of corn seeds from the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, with a total of 2.6 thousand tons exported over 10 months, marking a 200-ton increase from the previous year. These corn seeds are sought after in over 60 regions within Russia, thanks to their high quality. The production process involves thorough inspections and testing to ensure the seeds meet strict standards for fungi, bacteria, and insects. Annual production in Kabardino-Balkaria reaches over 15 thousand tons, which not only satisfies local demand but also allows for the surplus to be sold both domestically and internationally.
