Turkey: Seed support from Konya Metropolitan Municipality to farmers

Konya Metropolitan Municipality provided 286 tons of Hungarian vetch and sainfoin support with 50 percent grant to the farmers who received water applications from 31 districts before. During the program held at the Mevlana Cultural Center, Hungarian vetch and sainfoin seeds were delivered to the farmers whose applications were received before. Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality Uğur İbrahim Altay stated that they create added value for the producers of Konya and the economy with their support in order to contribute to the reduction of input costs in animal production. Emphasizing that the goal is to increase the income and welfare level of producers living in rural areas, Altay said: "We finalized the applications we received in July.
