In January, Turkey exported 392 tons of tea to 60 countries, generating a revenue of $1,643,128. The majority of the exports were to Belgium, Germany, and Israel. The Tea Exporters Union of Eastern Black Sea (DKİB) expects the export figures for 2021 to surpass those of 2020. However, the tea industry faces risks due to drought and low rainfall in the country, which could negatively impact the tea harvest.
