In February, the value of male live beef cattle in the organized markets of the Córdoba-Sucre subregion of Colombia reached historic high levels with an increase in quantity sold and price index, according to the Observatory of Prices and Agricultural Costs of the Northwest Zone of the Colombian Caribbean (OPCA). The trend in the nominal value of national live cattle, meat, and edible offal exports has been increasing since 2019 and 2017, respectively. The average nominal price per kilogram also continued to increase, reaching record highs for bucks and females of lift and belly.
