The Peruvian Amazon Research Institute (IIAP) and the District Municipality of Pebas (Loreto) held the training course "Cultivating gamitana: a tool for food security." The event aimed to strengthen the food security of local families through technical training in aquaculture production in the district. The course brought together producers, students, and representatives from various areas of the district. Participants included citizens from the localities of Pebas, Mangual, Santa Lucía, Betania, Atahualpa, Pucaurquillo, Nuevo Pebas, San Pedro, and Angamos.
