The international wine, spirits, and beer research firm, IWSR, predicts a 33% increase in the consumption of low and no alcoholic beverages by 2026, surpassing earlier growth rates. These beverages, which include beer, cider, wine, spirits, and ready-to-drink beverages, generated over $11 billion in sales in the top 10 global markets in 2022, marking a 7% annual growth rate from 2022 to 2026. Zero-alcohol beverages, particularly beer and spirits, are primarily driving this growth, accounting for over 90% of the category's total volume growth in major markets. The UK, Germany, Japan, Spain, and the US are leading markets for these beverages. Despite this growth, low and no alcoholic beverages still make up only 2% of total beverage alcohol sales worldwide.
