From January 1 to September 30, Paraguay saw a significant increase in beef exports to Chile, with shipments of national red protein leading to an income of USD 563.2 million, a 106% increase from the previous year. The volume of beef exported also rose by 67.9%, with 108,443 tons sent to Chile. Chile remains the primary market for Paraguayan beef, accounting for 44% of its access to 43 markets. The average price paid for Paraguayan meat by Chile also increased by 22.5% compared to the previous year. Overall, Paraguay's beef exports saw a 41.2% increase in volume and a 68% increase in value compared to the first nine months of 2020.
