Minas Gerais records US$ 11.4 billion in agricultural exports in 2025

More than 580 Minas Gerais agribusiness products were exported to 171 countries, with highlights including China (25.5%), United States (11.6%), Germany (8%), Italy (5.2%), and Japan (4.7%). Coffee led the exports, with US$ 6.2 billion, representing 54% of the state's agribusiness revenue. "Even with the drop in the volume exported, the revenue registered a 56.4% jump compared to 2024, due to global scarcity and the firm demand from traditional partners, leading to the formation of record average prices," highlighted Seapa. The meat sector, including beef, pork, and chicken, showed growth in both value and volume. The total revenue reached US$ 1 billion, an increase of 16.8%, while the volume reached 284 thousand tons, a rise of 3%, mainly driven by the performance of beef.
