Indonesia's Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo, is urging for a boost in the country's swallow nest exports to capitalize on the open market, particularly in China. The ministry is planning to establish special cooperation with China to support this increase. Despite the pandemic, East Java, which leads in swallow nest production, has already exported 51.3 tons in 2021, valued at Rp.661.3 billion. In 2020, Indonesia exported 245.3 tons, earning IDR 3.5 trillion, with 26% finding its way to the Chinese market.
