The article reports on the achievements of Russia's state program for agricultural development as outlined by Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev. The ministry has met three out of five goals set for 2019, including increasing the agricultural production index and agricultural exports. Despite exceeding the food production plan by 4.1%, there was a failure to meet the export targets for meat and dairy products. The ministry also faced scrutiny for budget violations amounting to 900.7 million rubles and was identified as one of the least effective state programs by the Ministry of Economic Development due to the pandemic's impact. To adapt, the agricultural production index growth target for 2025 has been reduced, with a focus on digitalization, technological advancements, land management, and sustainable use of resources.
