Belarus is planning to produce 640,000 tons of cattle meat in the current year, as announced by Natalya Sonich, the head of the main department for the intensification of animal husbandry and fisheries activities of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food. The country primarily uses over 90% of black-and-white cattle for meat production, but also rears other breeds like Aberdeen Angus, Limousines, Herefords, and their crossbreeds. In the previous year, Belarus exported these breeds for over $1 million, with Aberdeen Angus and Herefords being the most sought-after in the international market.
