The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs of South Korea is set to revise the Enforcement Rule of the Livestock Contagious Disease Prevention Act to include stricter quarantine facility standards for other poultry types such as quail and turkey. The changes, which will be effective from July 19, will mandate the installation of disinfection facilities and the registration of private vehicles and vans owned by farm owners. The revisions are part of efforts to prevent the spread of contagious livestock diseases like highly pathogenic avian influenza.
