In 2020, the agro-industrial complex in Kazakhstan experienced a 5.6% increase in gross agricultural output, totaling 6.3 trillion tenge, largely due to a 7.8% rise in crop production. The livestock sector saw a 3% growth, with a 4.1% increase in meat production and a 3.2% rise in milk production. The processing sector also had positive growth, with food production up by 4%. Investments in fixed assets in agriculture and food production increased by 15% and 13.5% respectively. This growth was facilitated by the well-coordinated work of farmers and the timely adoption of measures by the Government to ensure efficient sowing operations during the Covid-19 pandemic.
