The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety in South Korea has suspended the sales and recalled Chinese carrots and Jeju Real Lemon Juice Everyday due to the detection of pesticide residue and lead exceeding the permitted limits, respectively. The carrots, produced in 2023, contained 0.06 mg/kg of triadimenol, exceeding the limit of 0.01 mg/kg, while the lemon juice, sold by Whole Foods Korea, contained 0.20 mg/kg of lead, exceeding the limit of 0.05 mg/kg. Consumers who have purchased these products have been urged to cease consumption and return them to the point of purchase.
