Indonesia's coffee production saw an increase of 1.1% in 2022, reaching 794.5 thousand tons, according to the Central Statistics Agency. This marks a significant 118.9 thousand tons increase compared to 2013. South Sumatra was the region with the highest production, with a total of 212,400 tons in 2022. Coffee was first introduced to the country by the Dutch in the 17th and 18th centuries and has since become a key export commodity.
