UK companies have experienced a significant increase in seed sales, with some seeing up to four-fold growth compared to the previous year. B&Q has reported a surge in sales of blackberries, fennel, and asparagus, with increases of 109 percent, 73 percent, and 136 percent respectively. Waitrose Garden also reported a similar trend. The Guildford Allotments Co-operative Society has seen its waiting list double as more people are growing their own produce, particularly expensive items like asparagus, artichokes, and ginger.
