More than 57 thousand small farmers benefit from 32 projects within the framework of solidarity agriculture in the province of Al Haouz, Morocco

The number of projects implemented within solidarity agriculture at the level of Al Haouz province reached 32, with a total investment of 520 million dirhams, benefiting 57,300 small farmers. These completed projects aim to expand the planted areas to reach 15,900 hectares, develop waterways that extend over 868 km, develop rural roads over 24 km, and form 14 service cooperatives. The agricultural sector in the Al Haouz region received special attention within the framework of the regional agricultural plan through the construction and equipment of 21 valorization units according to production chains, including 7 units for olive production, two units for the production of aromatic and medicinal plants, and the coding of 4 regional products: the Protected Geographical Indication “The Atlas Nut, Haouz Marrakesh”, Protected Geographical Indication "Agmat Aylan olive oil", PGI "apple of Al-Haouz" and PGI "Amazmiz olive oil".
