The Landless Rural Workers Movement (MST) will inaugurate the transgenic-free corn derivatives agro-industry of the Conquista Agroindustrial Production and Commercialization Cooperative (Copacon) in the Eli Vive Settlement, Lerroville, on July 15. The agro-industry will have the capacity to process 24 tons of non-GMO and agroecological corn derivatives daily, with plans to expand production in the next five years. The cooperative has received investments from its own resources and the Popular Financing Program for Family Agriculture for Healthy Food Production (FINAPOP), and received support from the Paraná government. The products will be sold under the Campo Vivo brand and will be easily accessible and fairly priced for the entire population.
