Indigenous breeds of cattle, horses, and dogs were presented at the XX National Fair for the Preservation of Local Bulgarian Agricultural Animal Breeds, which took place in the "Panitsi" area near Kalofer, reported the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency. The event was organized by the Organization of Breeders of Indigenous Sheep Breeds in Bulgaria (ORAPB) and was held under the patronage of the Minister of Agriculture and Food Georgi Tahov and the Executive Agency for Selection and Reproduction in Animal Husbandry (EASR). Due to the complex epidemiological situation and measures against the spread of lumpy skin disease in ruminants, flocks of sheep and goats were not included in the fair this year, announced Rumen Stoyanov, chairman of ORAPB.
