Poland: New records in pig purchases; class E is getting closer to the limit of PLN 11 / kg

Another week of massive price increases for fattening pigs is behind us. This was to be expected after Wednesday's price increase in Germany. The prices of fattening pigs then increased by 8 eurocents, which is less than 40 groszy in the Polish currency. A similar price increase was also recorded in Poland. How much does a fattening pig cost? According to our today's poll, fatteners in class E currently cost nearly PLN 10.60 net per kilogram, which is 40 groszy more than a week ago. It is worth mentioning that in some purchases fattening pigs cost as much as PLN 10.80 / kg. Assuming that the upward trend continues, another psychological limit of PLN 11/kg may break in a week's time. Similar increases were recorded in the case of pigs in live weight. They are currently valued on average at PLN 8.20 net per kilogram, which is 40 groszy more than a week ago. Prices range from PLN 7.80 to PLN 8.70 net per kilo.
