In a key resolution for the foreign trade of meats, the Ministry of Economy -through the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries- formalized the creation of a unified regime for the allocation and management of the main tariff quotas that Argentina administers in the markets of the European Union, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The measure, published through Resolution 242/2025, reorganizes the distribution criteria, simplifies procedures, and establishes predictability for the upcoming trade cycles. The regulation covers the traditional Hilton Quota, the beef quota with the U.S., buffalo meat quotas, prime cuts (frozen cuts), Quota 481, and the Ovine Quota.
