The garlic market is currently strong in most areas, as good demand for the tasty bulb continues to exist in most countries. Most of Europe's garlic supplies currently come from China and Egypt, although France still has a strong preference for domestically grown crops. In North America, much of the supply comes from South America, while China produces its own garlic and focuses more on exports than imports. The transport of the bulbs to and from other continents remains more expensive than usual, as the high logistics prices show no signs of falling and the high energy prices in the producing countries also drive up costs.
