In 2022, Paraguay's bovine meat exports hit a record high in both volume and revenue. The country exported 333,701 tons of beef, earning $1,722 million, marking a 2.1% increase in volume and a 7.7% increase in revenue from the previous year. The average price per ton of exported meat rose by 5.5% to $5,160. Chile was the largest buyer, followed by Russia, Brazil, Taiwan, and Israel. Despite this, Paraguay failed to make the top 10 largest beef exporters, as listed by the USDA, with Brazil leading the pack.
