Park Dae-gyu, a research practitioner from the MGW Technology Application Agricultural Research Institute, received the award for increasing farm income and agricultural development at the '2026 Proud Koreans Awards'. The award ceremony for the 'Proud Koreans', recognizing individuals who have made contributions in various fields such as agriculture, politics, society, economy, culture, religion, medicine, and sports, selected around 200 recipients. The award ceremony for the various field recipients, including Park Dae-gyu, was held on March 27 at the Korea Press Center Auditorium, organized by the Proud Koreans Awards Organizing Committee. Park Dae-gyu, a research practitioner who has been active in agricultural sites across the nation, centered in Gyeongbuk, was selected as a recipient of the '2026 Proud Koreans Awards' for his eco-friendly agricultural demonstration results based on MGW technology from Mugungmujin Co., Ltd. According to the Proud Koreans Awards Organizing Committee, Park has been conducting practical research to solve various issues such as livestock odor and soil environment problems, and causes of reduced crop productivity by applying MGW catalyst training technology to agricultural sites over the past three years. Despite skepticism and criticism of the MGW catalyst training technology in the early stages of research, he has continued experiments and accumulated verifiable results in pilot farms. Additionally, his contributions to various research activities, including pine wood nematode prevention research and research on producing MGW healthy salt that emits high levels of far-infrared rays, have been recognized. Park Dae-gyu said, "The MGW (MuGungWave) catalyst system, which has been researched and developed by Mugungmujin Co., Ltd. for 20 years, finely rearranges the cluster structure of water and changes its energy state using near-infrared rays and mineral catalysts, reducing livestock odor by 95%." He continued, "Exciting results were obtained in crop cultivation experiments with cucumbers, onions, and melons, showing vigorous growth, improved sweetness, and excellent texture." He added, "We are currently discussing a plan to create a regional pension fund worth up to 100 billion won annually by utilizing MGW catalyst systems for livestock manure resource utilization with a local government. It could become a model like 'Haetbit Pension' in Sinan County, Jeonnam Province, which converts livestock waste into income for local residents..."
