Between January and August 2020, Peruvian agro-exports, including traditional and non-traditional products, reached over USD 4,158 million, showing a slight decrease of -0.02% compared to the same period last year. This slight decline is attributed to the higher shipments of grapes, mangoes, and blueberries, yet traditional agricultural dispatches fell 17%. Despite this, the value added from agriculture grew by 1.6%. August was the best month for joint traditional and non-traditional agriculture, with a 17% growth. The US and Germany were the leading destinations for these exports. Additionally, in August, traditional agricultural dispatches grew by 8%, led by coffee and sugar exports, while shipments with added value, such as blueberries and avocados, saw an 18% increase. The US and the Netherlands were the main requestors of these products.
