(Agraria.pe) The National Service of Agrarian Health (Senasa), reported that in the 2024–2025 campaign, Peru exported 289,508 tons of mango, marking an important recovery, considering that in the previous campaign (2023–2024) only 83,153 tons were exported. This growth reflects not only a higher productive yield, but also the positive impact of sustained sanitary actions in the main producing regions. The control and elimination of the fruit fly has been key to achieving this result, thanks to the commitment of local producers, regional governments, Senasa, and other authorities in the agrarian sector. "The recovery of Peruvian mango in international markets is the result of constant work in phytosanitary control, especially in the fight against the fruit fly.
