A recent McKinsey survey reveals that Brazilian farmers lead the world in the adoption of sustainable and digital agricultural practices. The country's farmers are heavily into no-till farming and biological control, and a significant majority uses digital means for purchases. Brazil is also the most significant user of the free digital platform, PlantUP. The platform aids farmers in choosing the most productive cultivars, optimizing planting, and managing soil types. It has been used to manage over 17.6 million hectares of land, predominantly soybeans, and has been incorporated by over 2,600 farmers across Brazil and Paraguay. The platform is soon to include Machine Learning models to provide more personalized solutions for farmers.
