Poland becomes the world's eighth-largest net exporter of meat and edible offal

Poland is already the fourth largest net exporter of processed meat, fish, or shellfish in the world and the eighth largest net exporter of meat and edible offal, according to a recent study from the Polish Development Fund, quoted by the Portal Spozywczy newspaper. The value of Polish net exports at the end of 2020 amounted to $1,8 billion. The first three places were taken by China - $8,8billion, Thailand $6,2billion and Vietnam $2,4 billion, respectively. Poland's share in the global exports of this division increased from 1%. in 2001 to 4.2% last year. In the described period, there was no year in which the share would turn out to be lower than the year before.The authors of the study point out that although the country is not among the top exporters in the case of meat and edible offal, it should be noted that its share in the global exports of this division increased from 0.6% in 2001 to 4.1% in 2020.In two decades, Poland has become the eighth largest exporter, rising from ...
